For Gamers

Anyone who plays video games could be considered a gamer.  And gamers need more ways to participate in & contribute to the development of the games they are eager to play.  By taking the GamerSurvey, every gamer can do something positive for gaming.

• Feedback on the games that matter.  Gamers can have incredible insights on the games they play - but don't always have a constructive way to share these insights.  GamerSurvey allows them to rate the game they know best (good or bad), on meaningful facets of the gaming experience, and leave comments to provide extra details.    

• Gamers helping gamers.  The internet is full of "hot takes" and extreme viewpoints that are designed to capture attention, but don't always produce a fair and useful portrait of a game.  With GamerSurvey, gamers can collectively rate games - producing a set of game scores built on a source the can trust - themselves!        

• Influencing game development.  Just as gamers can't always know which viewpoints to trust - developers also have the challenge of sifting through reviews and social media posts, and having to weigh which voices to listen to.  But the collective feedback of many gamers - presented in a structured, useful way - is something they can readily absorb.  By participating in GamerSurvey, there's a real chance that your contributions will actually be received by developers.  

• A chance to participate in game research.  The GamerSurvey is just the front door to a larger set of research opportunities. Game developers sometimes need to conduct targeted research studies to answer specific questions about their games. These studies can take many forms - surveys or interviews, onsite or remote, involving working games or prototypes, etc.  These are usually brief, interesting, and compensated in some way (often a small gratuity).  It's impossible to predict what kinds of studies will be done and when (this is entirely driven by the developers' needs), but there is always a need for research - and game research requires gamers!
